Hélène Haughney - Executive Director

Hélène has over thirteen years experience in the ICT and Telecommunications industry and is CEO of Nubiq Ltd. Hélène started her career with Aldiscon and continued to work in the company after they were acquired by Logica Plc. Hélène was a senior manager with Logica Mobile Networks where she worked with mobile operators worldwide. During her time here, Hélène managed a multi-million dollar business process re-engineering project to streamline the delivery of Logica´s Mobile Messaging product line. Prior to this she was the Integration Services Group Manager, Recovery Programme Manager, and the Operations Programme Manager with Logica. Subsequently, she held the position of Operations and Engineering Manager for Waterford Technologies and has run her own consultancy business whereby she worked with Hewlett Packard, LogicaCMG and RealTime Technologies. Hélène has a degree from Dublin City University and a Masters in Entrepreneurial studies from Waterford Institute of Technology. Hélène is also an active member of the Dotmobi Mobile Advisory Group (MAG) Steering Committee.

Dr. Willie Donnelly - Non-Executive Director

Willie Donnelly is the Head of Research for WIT and the Director of the Telecommunications Software and Systems Group (TSSG) at WIT. At WIT Dr Donnelly has established a strong postgraduate research programme with 15 postgraduate students presently registered with the TSSG. He has graduated 20 postgraduate students since 1996. He has acted as external examiner for postgraduate students in engineering at TCD, Limerick, Paris VI and University of Rome. Internationally he has been active as a committee member on a number of major telecommunications management conferences, including IM and NOMS. He has also held editorship of a number of international journals. He is the project manager of the EU framework programme SECURIST. He is presently a member of the forfas nanotechnology taskforce and was previously a member of the forfas wireless working group. He is an SFI principle investigator leading the SFI funded cluster on Autonomic Network Management. He also a board member of the Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology (IRCSET). Dr Donnelly has secured 15.89MEuro of research funding generated for WIT since 1996.
